“Rosie the Riveter,” coined during WW II for all the women working in the defense plants when the majority of men went off to war. Connie was one of the “Rosie’s” who went to work for Boeing – Wichita as a riveter on the B-29 bomber production line. Connie had actually riveted the nose section of the B-29 ‘Doc’ in the 1940s. Those same rivits were still in ‘Doc’ when brought back to Wichita for restoration. This is a fascinating account for watching the end.
