From AOPA Live. Titled, Warbirds to depart Edwards Ranch. The owner showed what was believed to be an ME-109. Mr. John Smith states that if it was not built before 1945, it is not actually an ME-109. Mr. Smith said that what is shown in the barn is a Spanish HA-112 that was built until 1958 with a front end that looks nothing like a 109. He also said that the same applied to another plane there that was the Czechoslovakian Avia S-199. He also stated that a Google search bears that out. Any other thoughts, or comments? In any case, there are some fantastic aircraft parked in the barn. Please enjoy!
