Trent Palmer, Ty Firkin and Jonas Marcinko flew into the Idaho backcountry during fire season into a lot of smoke. Smoke from Oregon and Wyoming fires started drifting in. A decision was made to venture East to Stanley, Idaho and Smiley Creek. Flying home they experienced more smoke than witnessed in their early flight.
