Bill Lear and the Founding of Learjet

This video was provided to me by my late neighbor, William Lear Jr..

It appears to be a public domain public relations film that pays a wonderful tribute to the genius of his father Bill Lear Sr.. It tells the story of Lear’s efforts inventing the car radio and founding Motorola, his invention of the auto-pilot and the eight track tape and best of all, the LearJet. It is a remarkable story of a man who followed his passions in life. If you care at all about aviation, invention or the challenges of bootstrapping a business, you will love this clip. It Includes interviews with the original employees and vintage footage of the very first test flights.
