Born Here: Kansas Aviation History

For those of you curious about the grand history of Kansas aviation, in the Air Capital and statewide, Richard Harris can give you a new perspective on Kansas’ 2nd biggest industry (after agriculture).

From the world’s first aircraft factory to world-leading aircraft manufacturers, from brilliant designers, to legendary aviators, to ordinary working people in an extraordinary industry with tales of tragedies and triumphs, Richard’s historical presentations are sure to entertain and enlighten his audience showcasing the 100 years of Kansas aviation. To date this year, Richard has given two presentations provided by the Kansas Humanities Council, at Wichita and Park City, Kansas’s libraries.

Richard Harris is an Internationally recognized aviation industry reporter and historian, who has worked widely throughout the industry, interviewed hundreds of its insiders and old-timers, and ventured aloft with many historic aircraft.
