The Kansas Aviation Museum, in partnership with the Orpheum, Mid-Continent Airport, GoWichita, McConnell Air Force Base, Tallgrass Film Festival, KPTS, the City of Wichita Arts and Culture Division and the Wichita Aero Club, announces the 1st Annual Wichita Aviation Film Festival to be held on Saturday, August 13th in support of the Wichita Flight Festival.
The event will feature three films to be shown over the course of the day: Flying Tigers at 10:00 a.m., Dr. Strangelove at 2:00 p.m. and Air Force One at 7:00 p.m. Prior to each, a short film of the era will be presented along with a special guest who will make brief remarks related to the film.

"This is a classic example of the type of community partnership that is so critical to the health of our nonprofit arts and culture community," stated KAM board president Ron Williams. "We are happy to be partnering with the Orpheum and look forward to future such endeavors."
Admission is $5 per person for the morning and matinee features and $10 for the reception and evening showcase.
